Lake City toppled by East Clarendon

The Lake City Panthers football team (Lake City, SC), dropped 28-12 in Friday’s league bout with the host East Clarendon Wolverines (Turbeville, SC).

With the win, East Clarendon advances its record to 4-1 on the season. The Wolverines travel to Manning (Manning, SC) to clash with the Monarchs in a AA Region 7 outing on Friday, September 27. The Monarchs come into the outing with a record of 3-1. Manning won 35-0 in their recent non-league outing against Ridgeland (Ridgeland, SC)

With the defeat, Lake City drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Panthers host Kingstree (Kingstree, SC) to clash with the Blazers in a AA Region 7 outing on Friday, September 27. The Blazers come into the outing with a record of 1-4. Kingstree won 52-16 in their recent league outing against Marion (Marion, SC).

 

Colleton Prep shuts out Clarendon Hall

The Clarendon Hall (Summerton, SC) varsity football team lost Friday’s home non-conference game against Colleton Prep Academy (Walterboro, SC) by a score of 26-0.

 

Laurence Manning Academy defeated by Augusta Christian

The Augusta Christian Lions were victorious over the host Laurence Manning Academy Swampcats football team by a score of 44-29 in Friday’s league challenge.

In their next game, the Lions face the Cardinal Newman Cardinals (Columbia, SC) in a SCISA 4A challenge, on Friday, September 27. Augusta Christian will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 21-17 league loss to Heathwood Hall Episcopal (Columbia, SC).

The Swampcats (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Ben Lippen (Columbia, SC). The Falcons enter the SCISA 4A challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Ben Lippen fell by Northwood Academy (Charleston, SC), 34-14, in a league challenge.

 

Scott’s Branch thwarted by Branchville

Branchville Yellow Jackets (Branchville, SC) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Scott’s Branch Eagles (Summerton, SC), 41-12 in a league battle.

With the win, Branchville advances its record to 4-0 on the season. The Yellow Jackets host Cross (Cross, SC) to play the Trojans in a A Region 5 battle on Friday, September 27. The Trojans go into the battle with a record of 3-2. Cross won 56-0 in their recent league battle against Military Magnet Academy (North Charleston, SC)

Coming up next, the Eagles battle the St. John’s Islanders (John’s Island, SC) in a A Region 5 contest, on Friday, September 27. Scott’s Branch will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record. The Islanders enter the contest with a 0-4 record after their 43-7 non-league loss to Academic Magnet (North Charleston, SC).

Thomas Sumter Academy smashes Clarendon Hall

The Thomas Sumter Academy Generals (Dalzell, SC) football trounced the visiting Clarendon Hall Saints (Summerton, SC), 42-0 in Thursday’s non-league outing.

The Generals now sport a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host Carolina Academy for a non-league outing on Thursday, September 26.

With the defeat, Clarendon Hall drops to 0-1 on the campaign.

 

Georgetown defeats Manning

The crowd at Thursday’s non-league contest between the Georgetown Bulldogs (Georgetown, SC) and the host Manning Monarchs (Manning, SC), witnessed Georgetown’s football squad topple Manning by a count of 33-14.

The Bulldogs (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against North Myrtle Beach (Little River, SC). The Chiefs enter the non-league contest with a 3-1 record.

Coming up next, the Monarchs confront the Lower Richland Diamond Hornets (Hopkins, SC) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, October 24. Manning will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.
