Orangeburg Prep prevails Clarendon Hall

In Friday’s league match, the host Orangeburg Prep Indians football squad scored a good 27-0 triumph over the Clarendon Hall Saints.

The Indians (2-2) will now prepare for their match against Greenwood Christian (Greenwood, SC). The Hawks come into the SCISA 2A Region II match with a 3-2 record. In their last match, Greenwood Christian defeated Whitmire (Whitmire, SC), 40-14, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Saints meet the Colleton Prep Academy War Hawks (Walterboro, SC) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 20. Clarendon Hall will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The War Hawks come into the match with a 3-2 record after their 55-28 non-league loss to Calhoun Academy (St. Matthews, SC).

 

East Clarendon edged by Lakewood

In Friday’s non-league game, the Lakewood Gators (Sumter, SC) football team edged the host East Clarendon Wolverines (Turbeville, SC), by a tally of 21-20.

In their next game, the Gators face the Wilson Tigers (Florence, SC) in a AAAA Region 5 game, on Friday, September 20. Lakewood will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record. The Tigers enter the game with a 2-3 record after their 41-0 non-league loss to West Florence (Florence, SC).

The Wolverines (3-1) will now prepare for their game against Lake City (Lake City, SC). The Panthers enter the AA Region 7 game with a 1-3 record. In their last game, Lake City was edged by Lamar (Lamar, SC), 21-14, in a non-league game.

 

Wilson Hall defeats Laurence Manning Academy

The crowd at Friday’s non-league contest between the Wilson Hall Barons (Sumter, SC) and the host Laurence Manning Academy Swampcats (Manning, SC), witnessed Wilson Hall’s football squad topple Laurence Manning Academy by a tally of 42-15.

The Barons (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Camden Military (Camden, SC). The Spartans enter the SCISA 3A Region II contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Camden Military was outscored by Pinewood Prep (Summerville, SC), 49-6, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Swampcats confront the Augusta Christian Lions (Martinez, GA) in a SCISA 4A contest, on Friday, September 20. Laurence Manning Academy will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Lions enter the contest with a 0-4 record after their 42-19 league loss to Porter-Gaud (Charleston, SC).

 

Manning Piles Up the Points Against Ridgeland

Manning entered their tilt with Ridgeland on Friday with two consecutive wins but they’ll enter their next game with three. They blew past Ridgeland, posting a 35-0 win at home. Considering the Monarchs have won three matches by more than 34 points this season, Friday’s blowout was nothing new.

Manning’s victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Ridgeland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manning will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they’ll take on East Clarendon at 7:30 p.m. on September 27th. As for Ridgeland, they will face off against Burke at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

 

Lake View tops Scott’s Branch

The Lake View Wild Gators football squad scored 41 points and limited the host Scott’s Branch Eagles to 14 in the Wild Gators non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Wild Gators now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Johnsonville for a A Region 6 test on Friday, September 20. Lake View will meet a Flashes squad coming off a 42-8 non-league loss to Waccamaw (Pawley’s Island, SC). The Flashes record now stands at 2-2.

With the defeat, Scott’s Branch drops to 1-3 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Branchville (Branchville, SC) to meet the Yellow Jackets in a A Region 5 test on Friday, September 20. The Yellow Jackets come into the test with a record of 3-0. Branchville won 42-13 in their recent non-league test against American Leadership Academy (Lexington, SC)

 

St. John’s Christian Academy over Clarendon Hall

The St. John’s Christian Academy Cavaliers (Moncks Corner, SC) volleyball knocked off the host Clarendon Hall Saints (Summerton, SC), 3-0 in Monday’s non-league bout.

The Cavaliers now possess a 8-3 record. They play next when they travel to Cathedral Academy for a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 10. St. John’s Christian Academy will clash with a Generals team coming off a 1-1 non-league Crestwood (Sumter, SC). The Generals record now stands at 0-4.

With the loss, Clarendon Hall drops to 0-4 on the campaign. The Saints host Dorchester Academy (St. George, SC) to clash with the Raiders in a SCISA AA Region I bout on Thursday, September 12. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 1-2.

 

Crestwood over East Clarendon

In Monday’s non-league challenge, the host Crestwood Knights volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the East Clarendon Wolverines.

The Knights (2-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Wilson (Florence, SC). The Tigers come into the AAAA Region 5 challenge with a 7-4 record. In their last challenge, Wilson lost by Hartsville (Hartsville, SC), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Wolverines meet the Kingstree Blazers (Kingstree, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 12. East Clarendon will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record.
