Minerva Earline Rhodus Jones, 71, wife of Horace DeVaughn Jones, died Monday, June 22, 2015, at Lexington Medical Center.
Born Jan. 29, 1944, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late Leslie Martin Rhodus Sr. and Corine Rebecca DuBose Rhodus Ard. She was of the Baptist faith and she attended Cross Roads Bible Fellowship Church.
Survivors besides her husband of 53 years of Manning include a son, Marty Jones (Linda) of Manning; a daughter, Becky Tobias (P.J.) of Manning; a sister, Ruby Harrington of Sumter; and five grandchildren, Wil, Kayla, Jay, Marti-Leigh and Joshua.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Leslie Martin Rhodus Jr.
A funeral service for Minerva Earline Rhodus Jones will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Cross Roads Bible Fellowship Church, with Pastor Eddie Harrington and Pastor John Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Thomas Harrington, Scotty Harrington, Kevin Hendrix, Emmett Stephens, Tony DuBose and Brian Gamble will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Stephens Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, 209 Breedin Street in Manning.
