Conservation Voters of South Carolina endorses Senator Kevin Johnson in the June 11th Senate Democratic primary

MANNING, SC—Conservation Voters of South Carolina (CVSC) is excited to announce its endorsement of State Senator Kevin Johnson in the June 11th Senate Democratic primary. CVSC has chosen Sen. Johnson based on his commitment to conservation values and putting voters in his district first regarding all issues facing our state.

CVSC’s political approach has consistently delivered substantial results. Since 2016, CVSC PAC has invested over $825,000 in support of 184 endorsed candidates with an 86% success rate. The organization is confident that the endorsed candidates will champion robust policies that protect South Carolina’s natural resources—land, air, and water—and enhance energy independence through diversified energy solutions. This approach supports economic growth and addresses the state's increasing needs without compromising our cherished natural heritage.

Senator Kevin Johnson (Senate 36) is a proud resident of Manning, SC, and has served constituents for decades in public office. In the legislature, Sen. Johnson consistently votes in favor of policies that create a healthier environment and protect our natural resources. His commitment to conservation is commendable with a 100% lifetime score as of 2022 on CVSC’s legislative scorecard, supporting offshore wind, opposing offshore drilling, supporting land conservation, and holding polluters accountable. He is also a committed leader on the issues of expanding access to affordable healthcare and improving education in our state.

CVSC has endorsed a slate of candidates for the upcoming South Carolina House and Senate primary elections on June 11th. CVSC encourages voters to vote early from Tuesday, May 28, to Friday, June 7. (The polls are Closed on weekends and state holidays.)
