Sandra Jean Richburg Byrd, wife of Thomas Byrd, 60, of Goose Creek, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014.
Born in Manning, she was a daughter of Charles Richburg and the late Garon White Richburg. Sandra graduated from Goose Creek High School and worked at Charleston Memorial Hospital and the Medical University of South Carolina.
Survivors besides her husband of Goose Creek and her father of Sumter include many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
She will especially be missed by her Boston terriers, Dora and Kadra Jean.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, James Richburg and Bruce Richburg.
Funeral services for Sandra Jean Richburg Byrd will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel. Entombment will follow in Whispering Pines Memorial Gardens in Moncks Corner.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, prior to services, at the funeral home.
