Donald Crawford Bailey Sr. 77, husband of Mary Kathleen Bailey, died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center in Sumter.
Born July 3, 1937, in Lancaster, he was a son of the late William Clarence Bailey and Sadie Ghent Bailey. He was employed as a bailiff with the Clarendon County Court System and retired from Clarendon County Department of Corrections. He was an Army Veteran, a Mason for more than 40 years and was a volunteer fireman since 1966.
Survivors include a son, Donald Crawford Bailey Jr. and his wife, Crystal, of Georgetown; a daughter, Mary Donette Lookabill of Manning; three grandchildren, Danielle Angelia Lookabill, David Ray Lookabill Jr., RoseMary Leviner Bailey; a very close friend, Andrew Witko; and a sister, Betty Jean Kirk
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Gaddis and Marcene Malko.
Graveside services for Donald Crawford Bailey Sr. will be held 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, at Oak Grove Church cemetery with the Rev. David Carlson officiating.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, before the service at Brunson Funeral Home.
