SUMTER – Sara Ann Graham Scott, 81, died Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Lake Marion Nursing Facility in Summerton.
Born June 21, 1933, in Pinewood, she was a daughter of the late Charles Graham and Mildred Ruth Ardis Graham. She was a member of Pinewood United Methodist Church. A 1952 graduate of Pinewood High School, she was a member of the basketball team and served as senior editor of the Pine Bur staff.
During her senior year, her classmates named her the most athletic and wittiest of the senior class.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Corinne Howard, Pearl Geddings, Inez English and Maisie Irick; three brothers, Robert Graham, Charles “Roddy” Graham and Leon “B.B.” Graham.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at Pinewood Cemetery with the Rev. Kenny Griffin officiating.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. William Aldrich for his many years of care, kindness and friendship shown to Sara Ann Graham Scott. They also express their appreciation to Dr. Billy Clowney and the staff of Lake Marion Nursing Facility for their love and care.
