SUMTER – Lois Anne Lawrence Geddings Caughman, 81, died Friday, July 4, 2014, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
Born Dec. 14, 1932, in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Lonnie Lawrence and Juanita Madge Kolb Lawrence Turner.
Survivors include a son, Lawrence Heyward (Gayle) Geddings Sr. of Pinewood; two daughters, Carol Geddings Roberts Carraway and Ann Geddings Mitchum Stemmer, both of Sumter; a brother, Robert (Hazel) Lawrence of Riverdale, Ga.; six grandchildren, Lonnie, Trish, David, Michael, Joseph and Christopher; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Lawrence; a sister, Jeanette Lawrence; and a son-in-law, Danny Roberts.
Funeral services for Lois Anne Lawrence Geddings Caughman will be held 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Eugene Mosier officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home, and other times at the home, 155 Gaddy Court in Sumter.
