Hailey Joanne Bordeaux, 21, died Friday, July 4, 2014, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital in Manning.
Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of Shawn Durant Bordeaux and Pamela Walton Bordeaux. She attended Westminster Presbyterian Church. She was a 2011 graduate of Sumter High School and was a rising senior at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. She was a member of the Phi Mu Sorority and the Teaching Fellows of USC. She loved sports and the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors besides her parents of Sumter include two sisters, Hillary (Matt) Wilt and Hannah Bordeau, both of Sumter; her maternal grandparents, Johnny and Nancy L. Walton of Sumter; two aunts, Ginny Helms of Florida and Jodi (Delbert) McLellan of North Carolina; three uncles, John (Elaina) Walton Jr. of Summerville, Jeff (Margaret) Walton of Savannah and Todd (Coleen) Bordeaux of Wilmington, N.C.; and the "love of her life," Stephen Stafford.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Herbert Durant Bordeaux and Nancy Joanne Bordeaux; and great-grandparents J.J. Walton, Ruby Walton, Jerry Yelton and H.D. Hatfield.
Funeral services for Hailey Joanna Bordeaux will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Westminster Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Stuart Mizelle and Steve Pink officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery.
John Walton Jr., Jeff Walton, Todd Bordeaux, Marshall French, Vic Brown and Tommy Weeks will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the home.
