Kelsey-PlayerTURBEVILLE – Kelsey Lewis Player, 20, died Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital.

Born Feb. 12, 1994, in Florence, she was a daughter of Johnny Lewis Player Jr. and Pamela Anderson Player. She was a member of Pine Dale Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors besides her parents of Turbeville include a brother, Brooks Staves of Turbeville; two sisters, Candice Player (Michael) Castle of Moncks Corner and Crystal Player (Wes) Brunson of Alcolu; her boyfriend, Ryan Gibson of Lake City; a niece, Kinsey Lake Castle; a nephew, Braydon Castle; paternal grandparents, Johnny Lewis Player Sr. and JoAnn McWilliams Player of Turbeville; maternal grandparents, H.L. Anderson and Dorothy Nell Frye Anderson of Turbeville; an uncle, Scottie Anderson of Turbeville; and her pet dog, Sammie.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday at Pine Dale Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Chad Culick officiating, assisted by the Rev. Patrick Goodwin.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Rocky Avant, Dillon Price, Josh Sivertsen, Cam Welsh, David McGee, Ryan Green, Jarod Green and Zack Graham will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the residence, 1590 Riverbend Lane in Turbeville.

Memorials may be made to Pine Dale Pentecostal Holiness Church, 4450 Turbeville Highway, Turbeville, SC 29162.

Stephens Funeral Home & Crematory, 304 N. Church St., Manning, is in charge of arrangements, (803) 435-2179.

    Even though I didn’t know Kelsey, .I am.deeply Saddened by the lost of this Young
    .Beautiful Girl..I.can’t begin to know the Pain, I.just.know.her life has ended way to.soon,.Praying for everyone.

    I did not know Kelsey but some of my family from Lake City posted this. I want to send prayers for God’s mercy, strength and comfort be with all the family and her friends. I know that words cannot touch the loss you are feeling but may God’s love be with all of you in all things.

    So sorry for your loss. I didn’t know Kelsey but I am her Grandma Dorothy Nell’s cousin. Praying for the family.

    I am praying for Kelsey’s family, close friends, and boyfriend. My heart is truly broken. I will always remember Kelsey, and cherish the memories that we shared. I can not even shake this tragedy, I do not even wanna believe its real. She will be missed by so many. Such a young beautiful soul, and a whole life a head of her. I will never forget you Kelsey, NEVER, may you REST IN PEACE!
