A 31-year-old Pinewood woman and a 50-year-old Manning man whom Manning Walmart employees told police took multiple items valued at $1,300 on Sunday afternoon without paying for them have been charged with shoplifting. Sarah Louise Singleton of 9854 Old River Road in Pinewood and Ronald Jerome Blackwell of 109 Richburg St. in Manning have been charged by the Manning Police Department with shoplifting of goods value of $2,000 or less in relation to the incident. A store associate told police about 2 p.m. Sunday that the pair took miscellaneous items from throughout the store. Eyewitnesses told manninglive.com that police retrieved as many as three buggies full of merchandise. Items taken included socks, bed sheets, clothing, candy, punch, swiss rolls, ribeye steaks, underwear, cans of gumbo, towels, bleach, bread, a bed set, dishwashing liquid, ketchup and salad. Altogether the items valued $1,338.
