Clarendon County is proud to announce that Ms. Tabitha Hanna has been named the new Director of the Clarendon County Building and Planning Department. Tabitha is a native of Marion County SC, and currently resides in Florence, South Carolina. Ms. Hanna attended Voorhees College and South Carolina State University for two semesters, later graduating from Limestone University in 2009, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Tabitha continued to pursue her education by receiving a Master’s degree in Law from Regent University School of Law in 2015.
Ms. Hanna was previously employed at the South Carolina Department of Social Services’ Child Support Enforcement Division for almost twenty (20) years. While there, she worked her way up the ranks to become a
supervisor in the Division. In 2018, she accepted a position as a Legal
Associate at American Honda Motor Corporation’s Law Division. In June
of 2021, Tabitha started with Clarendon County as the Deputy Director of
the Planning Department, where she immediately began making
contributions in her position. In her personal life, Ms. Hanna is a member
of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., has been married to her husband
Darren for 20 years and has four children, Terrance, Keenan, Darren and Camryn.
