Amy Carter, the South Carolina Teacher of the Year, was a guest speaker at the Clarendon School District Two's Assistant Principals Academy on November 17, 2021.

Mrs. Carter's inspirational leadership message encouraged the academy participants to create moments of recognition that excite and inspire others. These "Gold Star Moments" can have an impact on educators and students that may last forever.

Clarendon School District Two has hosted an Assistant Principals Academy for three-consecutive years for assistant principals and other school-level leaders. Academy participants have completed several leadership assessments and participated in professional book studies to foster continuous professional growth. "Being a school administrator is a very gratifying job. It is a pleasure to provide professional growth experiences for other administrators to build capacity in instructional leadership," said Dr. Jacqueline Inabinette, Assistant Superintendent of Administration and Personnel and Academy Coordinator.
