Joel Glenn Galloway, Sr., 73, husband of Willarhea Clemmons Galloway, died Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at his home.
Born April 5, 1947, in Manning, he was a son of the late Joseph M. Galloway and the late Mattie Theola Geddings Galloway.
He is survived by his wife of Paxville; four children, Joel G. Galloway, Jr. of Leesburg, GA, Gerald Galloway (Robin), Keith Brian Galloway (Shenay) and Richard Anthony Galloway, all of Paxville; nine grandchildren, Adam, Devin, Austin, Chester, Landon, Mia, Regan, Savannah and Cari; a great granddaughter, Aleah; two brothers, Joseph Galloway (Jane) of Blue Mountain, MS and Allen Galloway (Jeanne) of Blue Springs, MS; three sisters, Hilda Harwell of Camden, Donna Kay Jones (Allen) of Church Hill, TN and Linda Marie Smith (Billy) of Sumter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Lonnie Galloway; and three siblings, Audrey Jane Bolinger, Michael Steven Galloway and Gary Lenn Galloway.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Paxville Baptist Church Cemetery with the Revs. Eugene Mosier and Mark Huggins officiating.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 2, 2021, at Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of J.B. Hodge, 4440 Briar Branch Road, Sumter.
