East Clarendon High student found safe

A 15-year-old East Clarendon High School student missing since Sunday afternoon from her Lynchburg home has been found safe and sound by Sumter deputies. Spokesman Ken Bell with the Sumter County Sheriff's Office said Mackayla Nesbitt of Douglass Swamp Road in Lynchburg was found in Columbia earlier Monday afternoon. He said deputies were en route about 5:45 p.m. to retrieve the girl and return her to her parents.
