Clarendon Hall receives $16,000 donation from Bank of Clarendon

Clarendon Hall is pleased to announce receipt of $16,000 from Bank of Clarendon for a new Football Scoreboard. The new scoreboard was installed last spring and was first used at the varsity game on Friday, August 25. Bank of Clarendon Vice Presidents Carla Corbett and James “Jay” Gardner presented Clarendon Hall Head of School Russ Jordan and Board Chairman Travis McIntosh with the donation during halftime of Friday’s game at L.A. Robinson, Jr. Field.

Head of School Russ Jordan stated, “Clarendon Hall has been undergoing extensive facility improvements over the past year. The scoreboard has been a longtime need, and I sincerely appreciate Bank of Clarendon’s donation and ongoing support of the Saints. While the school primary focus has and always will be academic excellence in a Christian environment, we are committed to enhancing the gym and fields for our student athletes.”

Rose Buyck Newton, Chairman, Bank of Clarendon issued the following statement, “It is an honor and a privilege to be included in the celebration of this new scoreboard and all the great things happening here at Clarendon Hall. There is so much energy and excitement, you can see the growth and feel that ever-powerful Saints Pride! Bank of Clarendon has been an integral part of Clarendon County for more than 90 years, and we are proud to be an active community partner with Clarendon Hall. We are committed to all things Summerton and are looking forward to great things in the future. Go Saints!”

As one of the most well-established schools in the area, Clarendon Hall has provided superior elementary and secondary education in a non-denominational Christian environment since 1965. Clarendon Hall is an independent co-educational school for kindergarten three years old through twelfth grade.
