Several law enforcement agencies are continuing their investigation near the crime scene involving a USC student that was found murdered in Clarendon County. Officers with the State Law Enforcement Division and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources have restricted all access from the public to a large section of the New Zion community in attempt to preserve any evidence they may find.
The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources posted on Twitter that the search is “for additional articles pertaining to 21-year-old Samantha Josephson’s murder.” All investigative efforts are in close proximity to where Josephson's body was found last Saturday. Also nearby is the last known residence of Nathaniel David Rowland, who is in jail and charged with the murder and kidnapping of Josephson.
