The Laurence Manning Academy Swampcats defeated rival Wilson Hall for the second straight week Friday. This victory, by a final score of 20-14 in overtime, came in the crucial first round of the South Carolina Independent School Association 3-A State Playoffs. The prior week, the Swampcats took on the Barons and won in a close 14-13 matchup. The win brought the Swampcats’ record to 9-2 on the season. The team will travel to Columbia Friday to face Ben Lippen, the No. 2 seed in the series. The Swampcats will be looking for a bit of revenge after a regular season loss to the Falcons by a close 26-23 earlier this season.
