Carolyn Marie Grubbs Funchess Bair, 63, wife of Richard William Bair, died Monday, October 30, 2017, at her home.
Born April 5, 1954, in Orangeburg, she was a daughter of the late John Grubbs and the late Dezaree Amaker Grubbs. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Orangeburg.
Survivors besides her husband of Manning include a son, Chris Taylor (Lisa) of Aiken; two daughters, Tanya Prine of Manning and Donna Louise Grubbs-McAlhanney of Denmark; five grandchildren; and four sisters, Ella Mae Davis of Orangeburg, Sally Pratt of Kentucky, Nancy Pasley of Orangeburg and Betty Meree of Rowesville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Travis Ray Prine; a sister, Maxine Bland; and a brother, Johnny Grubbs.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 2, 2017, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home, with the Rev. Patrick Goodwin officiating.
