Frozen food items, liquor stolen from East Huggins Street home

A 63-year-old man living in the 100 block of East Huggins Street in Manning called police about 9 a.m. June 18 to report that someone had stolen various frozen food items valued at about $113 from the home while the man was away. The man told the Manning Police Department that items missing included a box of chicken leg quarters; steaks; pork chops; ham hocks and oxtail. The man also told police that someone left out a bag of chicken leg quarters on the front porch over night, ruining them. In addition, he told police that someone stole his half-gallon of gin valued at $33. Police reported no evidence of forced entry, and the man said that a 38-year-old woman had been staying in the home.
