Former South Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture Les Tindal died Monday, June 26, 2017.
Tindal, a resident of Clarendon County, served as the elected commissioner of agriculture from 1982 until his retirement in 2002. He was a member of the Black River Electric cooperative Board of Trustees for 55 years, and served as its chairman from 1982-86.
