LAKE CITY - James Joseph Baird, 52, husband of Barbara Tisdale Baird, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016, as a result of injuries received in a tractor trailer wreck.
Born June 18, 1963, in Binghamton, New York, he was a son of the late William Kevin Baird and the late Barbara Ann McGaw Baird. He was a U.S. Navy veteran with 11 years of service and he was a truck driver for over 20 years.
He is survived by his wife of Lake City; two daughters, Blair Sauls of Waynesboro, Virginia and Brandy Sauls of Lake City; a sister, Wendy Hancock (Wayne) of Greeleyville; a brother, Jeffrey Baird (Christine) of Cameron, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Gracie and Zoey Hampton; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2016, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Eugene Mosier officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the residence, 127 Singletary Avenue, Lake City.
