DNR to hold youth duck clinic

Posted
The S.C. Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is offering a great opportunity for youth to attend a duck clinic from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 18, 2016, in Georgetown. The free clinic will introduce youth ages 10-17 to the basics of duck hunting. The clinic’s hands-on sessions include: game care and prep, duck calling, marksmanship skills and how to keep it legal while hunting. The first 25 that contact Sgt. Steve Simpson at simpsons@dnr.sc.gov and complete and return the application will be able to attend. The application will be sent by email after contact is made. DNR will confirm a person’s attendance by email with further instructions. Lunch will be provided at this free event and parents/guardians are welcome to stay while their students participate.
