Deputies with the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office are looking for any leads into the whereabouts of a 42-year-old man last seen by his family Oct. 28.

Albert Cantey Jr. was last seen wearing black pants and a light tan sweater near Nelson and Red Hill Road in Manning.

Deputies say that a family member told authorities that she dropped Cantey "in town," and that he tends to "wander around."

Cantey apparently made two withdrawals from his bank account on Oct. 30, with one at 9 a.m. in Manning and another at noon from a SAFE Federal Credit Union Branch on Wesmark Boulevard in Sumter.

"That is the last sighting that we have of him officially," said Sheriff Randy Garrett. "His sister said there was a reported sighting in Columbia, but that's not concrete."

Cantey is described as a black male weighting 140 pounds and standing 5-foot-10 with brown eyes. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office at (803) 435-4414, or 911.
