Main Street Manning and the Hometown Teams Committee held an art contest and exhibit as part of the former group's annual meeting held Sept. 24 at Weldon Auditorium. Winners included Aly Elliott for "Sports Equipment" in the 7-12 category; Breanna Jackson for "Dance" in the 13-18 category; and Pamela Buddin for "Uncork on the 19th Hole" for the 18 and Above category. Kwaneisha Walton won Best of Show for her portrait of Althea Gibson. Other winners included, in 7-12, Eva Eaddy for "Ballerina," third place, and Caroline Prothro for "LMA Spirit," second place; in 13-18, Tolley Horotn for "Friday Night Lights," third place, and Sara Herbert for "Glove and Ball," second place; and for 18 and Above, Betty Reese for "Sports Equipment," third place, and Sue Czerwinski for "Youthful Anticipation," second place.
