Dr. Ray Langston celebrated a special anniversary Monday. It was his 40th anniversary of opening his dental practice in Manning, and his staff celebrated with cake and signs posted in and outside the office. "It's nice," Langston said. "I have a very good staff and I have great patients. They've always been good to me, so I always try to be good to them." Langston grew up in Florence and found his way to Manning shortly after graduating from dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina. "The opportunity presented itself from Dr. (Mutt) Bozard, who wanted another dentist here in town," Langston said. "I talked with him and between him and his dad, the other Dr. Bozard, I was able to raise some money with the Bank of Clarendon. We got the building built and today is the anniversary." "We've been here ever since," Langston said. See the Dec. 4 edition of The Manning Times for more.
