The Clarendon County Sheriff's Office has arrested and charged a Kershaw County Councilman with disposing of a property with a lien on it. Sammie Tucker is currently serving a term through December 2016 on Kershaw County Council. He has an outstanding fine of $23,000 for his race for Kershaw County sheriff from earlier this year, according to the State Ethics Commission. According to the Clarendon County Detention Center, Tucker will have a bond hearing at 5:30 p.m. Clarendon County Sheriff Randy Garrett told WIS-TV on Wednesday that Tucker sold a truck and trailer to a business in Turbeville. He allegedly took the truck and trailer's titles from a business filing cabinet in Kershaw County, and the owner had a lien on the titles. Tucker turned himself in, Garrett said.
