Summerton resident Cindy Risher was appointed over the weekend by 6th District GOP Chairman and Clarendon County GOP Chairman Moye Graham to assume the treasurer's position for the 6th District GOP. Graham resigned from the treasurer's post effective Saturday through an emailed letter to S.C. GOP Secretary Sandra Bryan. As chairman for the 6th District, Graham is allowed to appoint the treasurer. Risher, who is a seventh-grade teacher in Florence, also serves as the 2nd District vice-chairwoman for the Clarendon County GOP.
