Fifth annual Dancing with the Clarendon County Stars ends in tie

A full house at The Matrix Center Saturday night laughed, cheered, clapped and whooped in approval for a dazzling array of dance numbers by 15 couples who shimmied, shook, juked and jived to raise money for a good cause. And when all the dancing was done, a dance off was needed to determine the winning couple. And they tied. "It's too close for comfort," said Cheryl Wingard, who organized the event, which has raised about $250,000 since its inception. This year's total was $60,724. Tying for first were Monika Blackman and D.J. Reynolds, who rocked out to AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long," and the duo of Angel Morales and Melissa Allen, whose fluid cha-cha-ing to "Treasure" drew hearty applause and positive reviews from the judges.
