Manning High School senior Mitchell R. "Trey" Gardner III received the 2014 DEKALB Agricultural Accomplishment Award, according to information released Tuesday by MHS FFA advisor and instructor Coach Michael Haynes. Gardner received the award because of "excellence in academics, leadership and agricultural work experience," according to Haynes.
Gardner is ranked No. 5 in his class and serves as sentinel and student advisor for his local FFA chapter.
