College of Charleston Board of Trustees Secretary Frank Gadsden hooded Board of Trustees Emerita Marie Land on Saturday during the college's spring commencement exercises. Land was recognized because of her longtime service on the board, and for working with four different college presidents to grow the college in size and stature. She has served on the board since 1988, and was chair from 2009-13.
