LMA JV softball team loses first game, bounces back next day
LaSharon Thomas was unable to fight back tears Friday morning as she pleaded for members of the community to come forward with information about the Feb. 6 shooting death of her son, Johnte Holliday. Sheriff Randy Garrett, behind her, wants to bring closure to the case.
The Laurence Manning Academy JV girls softball team lost its first game on Wednesday, but bounced back with another win on Thursday to make its record 15-1 for the season. In Thursday's game, Lundee Olsen was the winning pitcher, with nine strikeouts. Baylee Elms was 2-3; Sara Herbert was 2-3; and Ellen Dinkins was 1-2. They play again Tuesday at Florence Christian School.
