The Town of Summerton will host a free Bike Rodeo and Safety Fair on Saturday, April 23, at Taw Caw Park in Summerton.
Children ages 5-12 will learn to properly use their bicycle equipment and test their skills on a road test. Participants must wear helmets and bring their own bicycle.
The event will also feature car seat safety inspections. A Certified CCSO car seat technicians will work with you to make sure your child is in the right seat and fitted properly, and that the seat is correctly installed in your vehicle.
The Town of Summerton and the Summerton Police Department has partnered with local safety agencies including, SC Department of Public Safety Bike Patrol Unit, SC State Parks Bike Mounted Rangers, Bicycle Corporation of America (BCA) factory in Manning, and Columbia SC Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club. BCA, Manning facility will also give away two new boys and girls bicycles.
