Thomasyne Gray Stukes Martin, 83, widow of Robert Legare Martin, Sr., died Friday, October 2, 2020, at her home.

 

Born September 23, 1937, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late Robert James Stukes and the late Frances Marian Moye Stukes Turner. She was a charter member of Grace Christian Fellowship Church and a member of Swan Lake Quilt Guild.

 

Surviving are two sons, Robert L. Lee Martin, Jr. of Columbia and Daniel Moye Martin (Erin) of Ft. Knox, Kentucky; three daughters, Paula M. Hipp (Bryan) and Carol M. Richburg (Tim), both of Manning, and Lynn M. Benjamin (Mott) of Darlington; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Bobby Stukes of Greenwood and Marion Stukes of Myrtle Beach; a sister, Margaret Stukes Blascak (Paul) of Manning; and several nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marian Edwards; and a grandson, Robert Gray Martin.

 

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 5, 2020, at Grace Christian Fellowship Church with the Rev. Mike Murdoch and the Rev. Marty Hodge officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Pallbearers will be John Wesley Richburg, Joshua David Richburg, William Patrick Hipp, Thomas Frank Ratkovsky, Steven Marcus Stuckey and Paul Newman Hipp.

 

Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2020, at Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the residence, 1300 Lesesne Drive, Manning.
