Special Weather Statement issued for Clarendon County

The National Weather Service out of Columbia has issued a Special Weather Statement for Clarendon County through 8:15 p.m. A line of strong thunderstorms will affect southeastern Clarendon and western Sumter and east central Orangeburg counties. At 7:29 p.m., radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from seven miles southeast of Eastover to near Elloree to near Bowman. Movement was northeast at 30 mph. Wind gusts up to 50 mph are possible with these storms. Locations impacted in Clarendon could include Summerton, Pinewood and Paxville.
