SUMMERTON – Shirley Lee Robertson Manley, 78, widow of David Hugh Manley, died Thursday, May 29, 2014 at her home.

Born July 10, 1935, in Bethesda, Md., Shirley was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Robertson and Julia Elizabeth Offutt Robertson.  She was a member of the Summerton Presbyterian Church, the Lake Marion Artisans, and a founding member of the Methodist Church’s Senior Adults Living Triumphantly (SALT) fellowship.

Survivors include two sons, David Hugh Manley III of Big Pine Key, Fla., and Michael Scott Manley of West Hollywood, Calif.; two daughters, Lisa Karen Doyle of Mooresville, N.C., and Shelley Maureen Viands of Summerton; two brothers, Robert N. Robertson of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Michael A. Robertson of Bedford, Va.; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Summerton Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Garland Hart officiating.  Visitors will be greeted by the family at the church beginning at 1 p.m.  She will be interred at a later time in the National Cemetery in Florence.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made either to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 114 Capital Way, Manning, SC  29102; or to the Lake Marion Artisans, 108 Main St., Summerton, SC 29148.
