Sheriff's Office hunting for Alcolu murder suspect

On Sunday, October 15, 2023, Deputies with the Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence located on Hotel Street, which is in the Alcolu area of Clarendon County, SC. There, deputies found German Josefin, lying on the ground in front of the residence. Josefin was unresponsive and pronounced dead from a stab wound to the upper torso.

Once deputies arrived at the residence of Hotel Street, deputies learned that the victim had been stabbed while inside the residence, and the suspect had fled on foot. The suspect was identified as Lauriano Josefin-Antonio. Witnesses at the scene stated that there was an altercation between German Josefin and the suspect, Lauriano Josefin-Antonio, resulting in Josefin-Antonio stabbing Josefin. It was later determined that the victim was the suspect’s father. Once on scene, deputies immediately set up a perimeter and contacted the Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office k-9 tracking team. Deputies, along with the k-9 tracking team, searched the entire area around the incident location but were unable to locate the suspect. Deputies, along with SLED agents, have been diligently searching for the Lauriano Josepfin-Antonio since Monday night, but as of the time of this press release have been unable to locate Lauriano Josefin-Antonio.

Law enforcement believes this was an isolated incident and there is no immediate danger to the community.
