The U.S. Marshals Service and local law enforcement agencies are searching for a man who fled from officers Thursday morning while they attempted to serve an arrest warrant at Market Bureau Courtyard Apartment on Rigby Street in Manning.
Authorities said the suspect, Bobby Spates, escaped through a back window between 7 and 7:30 a.m. and may still be in the area.
Spates is described as a Black male, approximately 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing about 225 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
Law enforcement officers from multiple agencies are assisting in the search. Residents in the Rigby Street area and surrounding neighborhoods are urged to remain alert, lock doors and vehicles, and report any suspicious activity.
Officials warn the public not to approach Spates if seen. Anyone who spots him or has information about his location should call 911 immediately.
