CCSO releases suspect images in Tara Lane homicide

The Clarendon County Sheriff's Office and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division are investigating the homicide of a Manning man and are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect and vehicle seen near the scene.

According to the sheriff's office, deputies responded to a residence in the Tara Lane area of Clarendon County at approximately 11:44 p.m. Saturday, June 13, after receiving a report initially believed to be a suicide.

As the investigation progressed, authorities determined the victim had been murdered.

The victim was identified as Homero Zunun Gonzales, 56, of Manning, who lived at the residence.

Investigators are seeking assistance identifying a suspect captured in surveillance images. The individual is described as a Black male wearing a white mask, a dark-colored hoodie and camouflage pants.

Authorities are also seeking information about a vehicle photographed near the scene. Investigators said the vehicle was observed in the area around the time of the killing.
