Teen reported missing from Turbeville Children’s Home

The Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 16-year-old who was reported as a runaway over the weekend.

According to the sheriff’s office, Daleigh Abbott, 16, was reported missing Mar. 8 from the Turbeville Children’s Home in the Turbeville area of Clarendon County.

Investigators said Abbott is about 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs approximately 125 pounds, with red hair and green eyes. She has a nose ring, a tattoo of a nose ring on her upper right arm, and small tattoos of the number 11 on her left hand.

Abbott was last seen wearing shorts, a dark-colored tank top and slippers. Authorities said she was captured on a camera at 3:52 a.m. walking out of the facility carrying a large duffle bag.

The sheriff’s office said Abbott has been entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database.

Authorities urge anyone who sees Abbott or has information about her location to contact law enforcement immediately.
