Seacoast Church to have a free clothing giveaway

Posted

Seacoast church saw a need in Clarendon County several years ago for clothing that could not be filed entirely by other local organizations. Upon realizing this need, Beth Smith organized the first Free Clothing Giveaway.

Paula Boudreau said, "We held a spring giveaway and a fall giveaway, and then COVID-19 hit, and we had to take a break from it. Last year under the guidance of Lynn Robinson, we held one in October. We are trying to get back to once a year now that we are at a normal pace. Lynn and I are co-organizing this year and will be organizing, hanging, and folding clothes everyday from Apr. 4 to Apr. 14."

Donations can be dropped at the Seacoast House located at 201 N Church Street in Manning, SC. Donations are being accepted on weekdays between Apr. 4 and Apr. 14. Drop-off will begin at 8 a.m. each day.

The organization is accepting all gently  used clothes for men, women and children. All clothing items are accepted including shoes, belts, purses, hats, and bedding.

Anyone can attend the free clothing giveaway. It will take place at the Seacoast House Saturday, Apr. 15 from 8 a.m.-12p.m.
