Say hello to Firefighter Joseph Stukes

Joseph Whitworth Stukes has bee with the Clarendon County Fire Department for about two years, with the rank of Firefighter II. He said he chose to volunteer “to give back to my community.” An environmental consultant by trade, Stukes said his biggest accomplishment with the department is being named Firefighter of the Year in 2014. He said in five years he hopes to still be serving the department “in any way my superiors deem necessary.” He said when he’s not at work and volunteering, he enjoys being outdoors and spending time with his wife, Brandee, and his son, Whit, and daughter, Lawson.
