New business plants itself in Turbeville

Kathy Turner was going about her day when she began to think about the Town of Turbeville and how she could make it a better place to live. According to her, the place where she currently resides had been very good to her, and she wanted to be able to give back to it.

“This town has been very good to me over the years,” said Turner. “I was not born and raised here and they opened their arms and accepted me. So, I wanted to do something to give back.”

Flashforward to Feb 1, 2021, and the Lilli Anna Day Spa finally comes to fruition. What started as a project between two friends has now become the full-time job of Turner.

“A friend of mine asked if I would do this with her, and then choose not to do it,” said Turner. “However, I decided to move forward with it.”

And what a decision that was for Turner. Now, after seeing everything put together, Turner could not be more proud of the progress she has made.

Lilli Anna Day Spa began renovations last year in October after Turner began renting the building. While they were originally slated for a November opening, Turner extended the deadline to make sure everything inside the studio was top-notch. After all, she wanted to make sure her customers were given the best of the best.

The Spa also boasts massage treatments, esthetic’s, and nail treatment booth, with different employees filling each role. There is also a full-service floral shop and boutique connected to the shop, which is also run by Turner.

Her current staff consists of Jada Welch, her husband Stan Turner, Ansley McElveen, Leah Coker, and herself, as well as cycling massage therapists.
