National Night Out 2021

The National Night Out is an annual/national event that will take place at Manning Early Childhood Center on Tuesday, August 3rd, 2021 from 5:30-7:00pm. This event has proven to be a successful and an enjoyable way to promote community spirit and law enforcement-community partnerships. This event has been canceled due to COVID 19 having a significant impact on many things in 2020. This year this is a drive-through event due COVID 19 still in effect.

Manning Police Department, South Carolina Highway Patrol, Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office, Summerton Police Department, and the Summerton Fire Department are expected to attend this event.

Clarendon County Sheriff Tim Baxley and Constable Lawernce Hammett addressed the event via a letter to community leaders. The letter reads as follows:

“COVID 19 has made a major impact on how National Night Out events are to be held. At all times, we want to make sure that the citizens of Clarendon County are safe. For the safety of all, we have decided to do a drive-thru for the Clarendon County National Night Out 2021. We do apologize for the Late notice, But we would like to include you in the preparation of National Night Out 2021.

The NNO is an annual event For the community of Clarendon County. We certainly need your continued support to help sponsor the event for this year. Therefore, we are respectfully asking you to please make a tax-deductible donation towards this most worthy cause. Please make checks payable to Clarendon County National Night Out.

The National Night Out event has proven to be an Effective and enjoyable program to promote neighborhood spirit and police-community Partnerships. The benefits derived from NNO extended well beyond one night. The results of this program have brought about safer communities in a safer Nation.
