Meet the Winner: Pat Coker

Tuesday, Nov. 8, Republican Pat Coker defeated Democratic Incumbent Benton Blakely with a percentage of  61.50 votes for County Council 3 for Clarendon County. The Manning Times sent a list of questions to Coker, and his responses are below.

TMT: What is your plan to start your political journey?

PC: I would like to start by thanking everyone for their support and voting on November 8th.

I look forward to getting started by obtaining an understanding of the Council’s policies and procedures so I can better serve the citizens of Clarendon County.

TMT: What is the first project that you plan to work on for Clarendon County?

PC: I look forward to getting started on the projects that I voiced concern about during my campaign. I am excited to represent you and make your voice heard.

TMT: Improvement of the roads , lowering taxes, and a better education and safety were important to you in the campaign. What will you work on first and what is your plan of action?

PC: During my campaign I stated my areas of concern being roads, education and safety. I look forward to working with the Department heads in not just these areas but all aspects so I can better understand the needs and issues of the county.
