Police are investigating a theft at a local vape shop involving two suspects, including one who consumed merchandise inside the store before leaving.
Officers were dispatched to the business on April 14 after an employee reported a theft. According to the report, two individuals entered the store and began browsing merchandise.
While one suspect engaged the employee in conversation, the second suspect moved through the store selecting items. At one point, one of the suspects opened and consumed merchandise — identified in the report as hydroxycut gummies — while still inside the business.
Both suspects then exited the store without paying for the items.
Surveillance footage captured the incident, including the suspects’ actions and their departure from the scene. According to the report, the suspects left in a vehicle described as a Dish Network van.
