Manning High School band shines at Cardinal Competition

The Manning High School Golden Pride Marching Band showcased their talents at the 17th Annual Cardinal Band Competition, held on September 21st at Phillip O. Berry High School. Competing in Class 2A, the Golden Pride earned several top honors in the highly anticipated event.

The band took home 1st Place Music in their division, further highlighting their musical prowess. Their leadership on the field was also recognized, with the band’s drum majors securing 2nd Place in the Drum Majors category. The General Effect of their performance was similarly applauded, earning another 2nd Place. The band rounded out their awards with a 3rd Place finish in Marching.

Overall, the Golden Pride Marching Band finished 2nd out of five bands in Class 2A, reinforcing their reputation as the “Pride of I-95.”
