Golden Pride Marching Band seeking sponsors for DC trip

Posted

As the Director of Bands of the Manning High School Golden Pride Marching Band, I am proud to announce that we have been invited to participate in an exceptional opportunity that will enrich the lives of our students and bring pride to our school community. We have been invited to represent Clarendon County in the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C. on May 27, 2024.

The details of the trip are as follows: National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C. on May 26-May 29. We are expecting 75 students and chaperones to participate.

The Marching Band has always been an essential part of our school’s cultural and educational experience, allowing our students to develop discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills. This trip is an incredible chance for our dedicated students to showcase their talents on a grand stage and learn from other marching bands, fostering their growth as musicians and performers. However, such an opportunity comes with its costs, and not all of our students can afford the expenses associated with the trip. We are reaching out to local businesses and individuals like you, who value arts education and understand its positive impact on the lives of young people, to request financial support.

Your sponsorship will help cover various expenses, including transportation, accommodation, meals, and event registration fees. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant difference in ensuring that all our students can participate and benefit from this memorable experience. To express our gratitude for your generosity, we will also make sure to recognize your support in our school publications, such as logo in our concert program, and on our social media page. For donations by check make them payable to MHS Bands and you may send them to the school.

If you have any questions or require additional information, please feel free to contact me at 803- 825-5034 or  jordan.jefferson@clarendoncsd.org. Thank you for your time and consideration, we hope that you will consider supporting our Marching Band and play a significant role in shaping the future of these talented students and exposing them to the world around us.
