Thanksgiving break usually means a week off for students. However, two students took this time off to help others.

Peyton and Delaney Frierson, eight and tenth grade students at Clarendon School District 2, volunteered at their church handing out food to those in need.

“The Frierson family and Lovely Baptist Church in Holly Hill have helped so many in their community,” said CSD2 public relations specialist Suzanne Barr.

Delaney Frierson is a tenth grade honor student, varsity cheerleader, sophomore events coordinator in Student Council, and track athlete at Manning High School. Peyton William Frierson is an 8th grade student from Manning Jr. High School participated in community service over the Thanksgiving Holidays.

On Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Lovely Hill Baptist Church in Holly Hill, South Carolina, Peyton, Delaney, along with other church members handed out 1100 boxes of perishable food. People from East Orangeburg and surrounding areas came to receive their boxes.

Reverend W.J. Frierson is the pastor and Peyton’s and Delaney’s dad.
