A 33-year-old Alcolu woman was charged about 7:17 p.m. Oct. 5 with disorderly conduct after allegedly threatening and using profane language with the grandmother of her children at a home in the 100 block of Breedin Street in Manning. According to reports, the woman was driven to the home by the grandmother's son, with whom the woman has three children that live with the grandmother. The victim told police that the suspect had been drinking prior to her arrival and became "very irate with her," according to reports. Police could hear profane language coming from the suspect when they arrived. The victim said she felt she was threatened and was uncomfortable with the incident. Police said the suspect's eyes "were (glazed) and she was slightly unsteady on her feet," reports indicate.
